"Well, on my first lesson, Richard made me feel really at ease. Not only was it a driving lesson, it was fun. He was very accomodating too, he picked me up from the station after work. My lesson was one hour a week that I actually looked forward to. Thanks Richard" Harriet |

TheoryBefore you can book your practical driving test you must take and pass a theory and hazard perception test. This is a two part test, the first is a multiple choice set of 35 questions on the Highway code and other motoring matters, the second is a series of video clips where you must identify hazards as they appear on the screen. You must pass both parts to obtain a pass certificate, if you fail either one of the tests you must retake both parts on your next attempt. The Multiple Choice Questions
There are some practise questions you can answer if you want to before the actual test starts, you can review your questions at any time during the test, and you can go back and change your answers if you want. If you don't mark the correct number of 'answers' to each question the computer will remind you. You are allowed up to 60 minutes to complete the multiple choice test. Before you go on to the Hazard Perception Test you can have a break of up to 3 minutes if you wish.
The Hazard Perception Test
Before the test starts you will be shown a short clip demonstrating how the test works. Each clip contains at least 1 developing hazard, but one of the clips will contain 2 developing hazards and is worth a higher score. You must score 44 out of 75 to pass this test. |
